Advanced diagnostics · Coding · Programming
Vehicle electronics and module services in Pretoria.
Specialist electronic diagnostics, coding, programming, key services and control-module work for European and selected Japanese vehicles, from our workshop in Mountain View.
Modern cars run on dozens of control modules that have to agree with each other. When one is replaced, loses its data or needs new software, the fix is electronic. That's the work on this page.

What we do
Pick the job that matches your problem. Each page explains what's involved, when you'd need it and what to have ready when you call.
Keys and immobilisers
Key and immobiliser work is a specialist job. It's one of ours.
New keys, spare keys, keys that have stopped working, and immobilisers that won't let the car start. Where the vehicle is supported, we program and match keys here rather than sending you to the dealer.
- New and additional key programming
- Key adaptation, learning and remote synchronisation
- Immobiliser diagnostics and programming
- All-keys-lost procedures where supported
- Key matching after a module replacement
Brands we cover
Our programming equipment goes deepest on these seven. Each has its own page with the procedures we can do.
Renault owners
Flat battery, and now the Renault won't start?
A power loss can leave a Renault UCH module in a faulty state: the key card isn't recognised, the car won't start and the locking stops behaving. We recover supported UCH modules after battery power-loss faults.
- UCH diagnostics to confirm the fault
- Recovery of supported UCH modules
- Key card re-matching where needed
- Replacement and programming if recovery isn't possible
How an electronics job runs
Same four stages whether it's one key or a full module replacement.
Confirm it's supported
You phone with the make, model, year and VIN. We check the procedure against the car before you drive over.
Scan before we touch it
A full diagnostic scan records every stored fault and the module versions, so nothing is lost and nothing is guessed.
Code, program, adapt
We carry out the procedure: software, coding, adaptation, key or module matching.
Scan again and test
A post-job scan and a test of the systems involved, so you collect a car that works, not just one that starts.
Code · Program · Adapt · Recover
Dealer-level work, without the trip to the dealer.
We've invested in professional Abrites Full Protocol and TOPDON Phoenix Max diagnostic and programming technology. It lets us carry out advanced electronic procedures on supported VAG, BMW, MINI, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Renault and Nissan vehicles, here in Mountain View.
Services are subject to vehicle model, year, control-module type, software version and system compatibility. Phone with the make, model, year and VIN and we'll confirm before you bring the car in.
Questions we get asked
Which cars can you code and program?
Our programming equipment covers VW, Audi, SEAT, Škoda, BMW, MINI, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Renault and Nissan in depth. Support depends on the model, year, module type and software version, so phone with the details and we'll confirm.
Do I need to go to the dealer for this?
For supported vehicles and procedures, no. A few jobs on newer cars need the manufacturer's own online systems, and when that applies we'll tell you before you bring the car in.
Is coding the same as a remap?
No. Coding and programming make the car's modules work as the manufacturer intended. A remap changes engine software for more power or better economy, which we do separately as a Celtic Tuning accredited dealer.
Do you still do ordinary servicing and repairs?
Yes. Servicing, mechanical and electrical repairs are the core of the workshop, and BMW and MINI are our speciality. See the home page.
Another workshop? Send us the programming job.
If you don't have the equipment to finish a coding, programming or key job, we can do that part for you and hand the car back.
Tell us the car and the problem.
Phone with the make, model, year and VIN and we'll confirm whether it's a job we can do before you bring the car in.
